S. Balaji is an Assistant Professor of Information Technology and Supply Chain Management at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. His research interests include IT outsourcing and healthcare IT. Dr. Balaji's interests in healthcare IT include topics related to electronic health records, medical transcription, and technology adoption and innovation in hospitals. His research work has been published in numerous journals and conference proceedings. He is also the recipient of several honors and awards, including best paper awards and other nominations. Dr. Balaji holds a PhD in information systems from Indiana University in Bloomington and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Illinois - Chicago.
