Warren Ritchie

Warren Ritchie has spent the last 19 years with the Volkswagen AG group of companies in Canada and the United States. During that time he has held positions in marketing, corporate strategy, and most recently information technology. He is currently Director, IT Governance and Portfolio Management, for the Americas Region of VWAG. The Americas Region includes the IT operations in the United States, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and South Africa and is mandated with finding synergies within the country IT operations while supporting global business strategy implementation through the rapid deployment of global IT applications.

Warren holds university degrees from Queen's University (BA), Dalhousie University (MBA), and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (PhD). His current professional and academic interests relate to identifying and overcoming the inertial effects of internal architecture on corporate and business level strategic change. He has published articles and business cases on this subject and made presentations at several academic conferences.
