The New CIO Agenda: Opening Statement

It is time for a new CIO agenda. CIOs and their teams have checked off many of the old agenda items: Y2K, the Internet, and enterprise-level systems. Those challenges each represented a major wave of change involving IT. While many organizations surfed these waves successfully, the need for a new agenda grows clear as CIOs face new challenges, from maturing technology to new sourcing models, that threaten their very existence.
