Roger Yin

L. Roger Yin is Professor of Information Technology in the College of Business and Economics at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Co-Director of the Cyber Security Center for Business. He serves as Co-PI of a US $2 million Department of Labor grant for establishing public-private collaboration on creating a cybersecurity apprenticeship program. Dr. Yin was awarded the Hermsen Teaching Award of 2015-16. He presently serves as Director of Academic Affairs on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Chapter of Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Dr. Yin has published more than 40 refereed journal articles and presented more than 50 papers in national and international conference on and related to IT. His teaching and research interests include cybersecurity management, IT governance and risk management, healthcare IT, e-learning systems for professional training and development, and blockchain. Dr. Yin has earned various industry certifications, including CPHIMS, CISA, CISM, CGEIT, GSNA, and ITIL-F. He earned a bachelor of engineering degree in environmental engineering from National Chung-Hsin University, Taiwan, and a master of science degree and PhD in instructional systems technology from Indiana University.
