Andrew Spanyi

Andrew Spanyi has managed or consulted on more than 125 major improvement projects, and his contribution to process management is recognized internationally. Mr. Spanyi focuses on helping leaders transform outdated, traditional mental models and behaviors to those based on enterprise business process principles. He has served clients in a broad range of industries, including aerospace, banking, government, insurance, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and telecom. Mr. Spanyi's cross-industry and cross-functional management experience leads to his ability to rapidly add value on client projects across industry boundaries.

Mr. Spanyi is the founder and Managing Director of Spanyi International, Inc. Previously, he was a Senior VP at SCONA, a Canadian financial services firm specializing in the distribution of education savings plans, served as Director of Marketing and Product Development for Xerox Learning Systems (aka Learning International) and as a District Manager with Coles Bookstores. He began his career as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. Mr. Spanyi was also affiliated with the Rummler-Brache Group (RBG), joining in 1992 as a consultant. He was named an RBG Principal in 1995 and Managing Partner of the Canadian practice in 1996.

Mr. Spanyi has taught process management at Babson College. He is a former member of the Babson Institute of Process Management, a member of the board of advisors at the Association of Business Process Professionals, a member of the editorial board of the BPM Institute, and was formerly a member of both the American Management Association and the American Society for Quality. Mr. Spanyi has authored dozens of articles and reports and is the author of three books, including Business Process Management Is a Team Sport: Play It to Win! He has delivered speeches and workshops in more than 10 countries.
