Paola Di Maio

Paola Di Maio is a systems analyst and engineer who studied knowledge and expert systems design before focusing professionally on content and knowledge management tools and architectures. She is the founder and former Editor-in-Chief of content-wire.com, the first online journal devoted to content management technologies.

Dr. Di Maio is the creator of the Joint Optimization Metamodel (JOM) and previously developed and implemented high-level research frameworks, such as the Knowledge Audit Framework (KAF). She is a knowledge integrator specializing in interdisciplinary research and applications, and her preferred field of practice is systems engineering as applied to enterprise transformation and sustainable systems integration.

Dr. Di Maio has studied, lived, and worked internationally. She holds an MSc in information systems from the University of Kent (UK) and a PhD in systems engineering from the University of Strathclyde (UK). Dr. Di Maio previously worked in London as a science and technology correspondent, in Bruxelles as a research evaluator, and, most recently, in various Asian countries as a visiting faculty member, a research advisor, and a social innovation and sustainable enterprise consultant.
