Santiago Pena

Santiago Peña is a PhD candidate in the Information Systems and Decision Sciences Department at LSU's E.J. Ourso College of Business. His research interests include IT governance, IT outsourcing, social and organizational impacts of IT, and service-oriented architecture (SOA). Mr. Peña's current research efforts focus on SOA and management fads, cloud computing adoption, and the impact of advanced management tools on IT governance. In addition to his graduate research, he currently provides consulting services to a nonprofit transitioning from centralized IT operations to a decentralized, cloud-based organization. Previously, Mr. Peña served as program manager of a research group focused on high-performance computing. Additionally, he was an instructor of computer science in his home country of Argentina. Mr. Peña received a master's degree in systems science from LSU in 2007; a master's degree in physics from the University of Texas (USA) in 2004; and a bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering from Universidad Blas Pascal (Argentina) in 2001.
