Irene Dec, vice president, Prudential Year 2000 program manager, has been involved in information systems since 1981, when she joined Prudential. In her current role as Prudential Year 2000 program manager, she leads the Prudential Year 2000 company-wide program office, which includes all Prudential systems, infrastructure, and external relationships with clients and business partners.

Ms. Dec has spoken at over 30 Year 2000 conferences and seminars and consulted with other major U.S. companies and government agencies. She has been quoted in publications/technical magazines and has appeared on ABC World News Tonight discussing Year 2000 issues.

She received her B.S. and M.S. in mathematics from Montclair State University. Ms. Dec is a member of IEEE, ACM, Project Management Institute, and World Future Society.
