Avishan Bodjnoud

Avishan Bodjnoud works at the United Nations (UN), Department of Peace Operations, where she supports leveraging data and analytics for evidence-based planning, analysis, and decision making. She is co-lead of the UN's Secretary-General's Data Strategy. Previously, Ms. Bodjnoud worked at the UN’s Department of Safety and Security, managing global security databases and the data-driven reporting system. She was an Impact Fellow at Silicon Valley’s Singularity University and was nominated by the UN’s Office of Information and Communications Technology as a STEM Role Model. Ms. Bodjnoud is an advocate for diversity in ICT and is a Women in Analytics Ambassador. She earned a master of science degree in information management engineering, a master of arts degree in Middle Eastern studies, and a bachelor of science degree in computer software engineering.
