Viola Maxwell-Thompson is certified by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), a board director, former Ernst & Young Technology Partner, former CEO and president, industry thought leader, and innovative strategist with over 35 years‘ experience in executive-level management in corporate America and nonprofit organizations. She has a proven track record of successfully directing and managing engagements for multibillion-dollar companies across the financial, manufacturing, technology, and professional services sectors. Ms. Maxwell-Thompson has successfully launched start-ups drawing upon her expertise in strategic planning, business development, and fiscal management. She is a results-driven, conscientious leader with excellent problem-solving skills and adept in developing and executing effective risk mitigation strategies while implementing essential organizational change management. Ms. Maxwell-Thompson serves on audit committees and advises ESG committees’ social initiatives. A nationally recognized thought leader in business transformation, DEI and retention best practices, and leadership development training, Ms. Maxwell-Thompson is often featured in the media for her expert insights on business topics, including DEI and the retention of executives, work-life balance opportunities, and career management. Ms. Maxwell-Thompson earned her bachelor of arts degree in psychology and education from Lake Forest College and holds certification from NACD and in project management.
