Serge Thorn

Serge Thorn is an experienced and passionate enterprise architecture/business transformation professional and consultant with many years’ experience (18 years TOGAF/ArchiMate) coaching, mentoring, and implementing worldwide major business and technology transformation initiatives at major blue-chip companies. Mr. Thorn has been involved in several strategic programs managing stakeholders and architecture teams and has worked closely with CxOs and their teams at large corporations around the world on why and how to transform their architecture, how to govern the transition supporting their corporate strategic planning, and implementing enterprise architecture functions in various companies (governance, business architecture, architecture modelling, business process management, and analysis). He defined and implemented IT strategies as an outcome of business and digital transformation initiatives, implemented various IT governance functions based on best practices around service management, project and portfolio management, Agile-DevOps, and quality management. Mr. Thorn has worked in a variety of sectors and has a proven track record in banking-finance (private banking and wealth management), biotech/pharmaceutical (chemical), government agencies, supply chain, telcos, and major IT vendors. He also contributed to the TOGAF Framework review publications (TOGAF and ArchiMate) and has delivered several whitepapers and articles on EA, TOGAF, and ArchiMate. He also won an Open Group Award in 2012 and was recognized by Steve Nunn in 2016 for his tireless work on The Open Group Architecture Forum TOGAF Localization Committee.
